Everyone who I work with makes their own choices about where to go with their music. Using my experience as a musician I assist them in finding what they're looking for in their own music.
If you're new to songwriting but feel you have a song in you, I can get you started with lyrics and chords, and putting it all together,

Lessons can include vocal and instrumental coaching, and, as I teach from my home studio, recording your music is also an option.

Whitehorse Music School

Whitehorse Music School be offers ensemble classes, open to anyone interested in playing contemporary music in a group. Students bring all the great skills they develop in their music lessons to this ensemble where we'll use them to improvise, compose and make music as a group. This ensemble is suited to students young and young-at-heart, of all abilities, and playing any instrument or singing. The great staff at Whitehorse will be happy to answer any further questions you have about this ensemble. The group will be lead by Jeremy P Martin, a part time member of the Whitehorse Music shop team.

 

About Jeremy

Jeremy has been composing, improvising and performing music for 20 years. He has independently released 5 albums. He has been a member of the Christchurch Playback Theatre Company in New Zealand, whose performances combine improvised theatre, music and storytelling. An important part of his involvement with Playback was extensive training in improvisation and storytelling. He has undertaken some training with ANZPA, studying group leadership and creativity within a group. Besides working part-time in the Whitehorse Music team, Jeremy privately teaches singer songwriting, and is a professional producer and original artist.
